Registration
Go to Enroll in 7 easy steps if you are not sure of all the steps involved in registering.
There are two ways to register for College Credit Division classes:
- On-site registration. You can register in person in the Department of Student Services and at the Iroquois County Satellite Center. Registration for Spring begins in October. Registration for summer begins each March. Registration for fall begins in April. KCC on-campus registration hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays. See the college calendar for dates when the campus and the satellite center are closed. Iroquois County Satellite Center registration hours are Wednesdays 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. - noon.
- Online. Most KCC students are now eligible to register online using KCConnect (www.connect.kcc.edu)
To register online using KCConnect, you must meet both of the following requirements:
- Have completed 6 credits or more at KCC (not including 0900-0999 courses)
- Have a KCC GPA of 2.0 or higher (if this term is your first semester at KCC – this requirement is waived when registering for the next semester)
It is recommended that you meet with an adviser before registering online. Online registration is not available for some courses—they are noted with a * in the course title on KCConnect and with a notation in the class schedule.
- Phone-in registration. Returning students in good academic standing who are taking fewer than nine semester hours may register for courses by phone in course selections. Phone-in registration may be inappropriate for courses requiring a prerequisite. Personal consultation with an adviser is recommended.
Hours for fall and spring 2008 phone-in registration:
Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Monday through Thursday, 5:30-7 p.m.
Phone: (815) 802-8500
Students registering by phone must pay tuition and fees with Visa®, Discover® or MasterCard®.
Have your address, Student ID and phone number ready.
New students, students enrolling in nine or more semester hours and students on academic warning must consult an adviser in person before registering; therefore, phone-in registrations are not permitted for these students.
