Phi Theta Kappa is an international academic honor society for community college students. The KCC chapter, Alpha Delta Eta, is committed to more than just academic achievement. Chapter projects continue throughout the year with activities such as service projects, the Honors Study Topic, chapter meetings, and state and national conventions.

Each candidate for membership must have completed 12 semester hours of credit division coursework with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Candidates must have earned at least six semester hours of credit division coursework during the semesters of their eligibility and must be enrolled in at least one three-semester-hour credit course during the semester of induction. Once a member, a GPA of 3.25 must be maintained. Other membership requirements apply.

For students who were previously enrolled at KCC and who have not taken classes for a period of five consecutive years, studies taken more than five years ago need not be considered when determining Phi Theta Kappa membership eligibility.
