KCC offers extensive computer courses and customized options. We offer several training options for you to stay current with the most popular software applications in business and industry. We have well qualified instructors, with a very high level of confidence and knowledge in their areas of expertise.
Four types of computer training are available:
Standard continuing education computer software classes. These non-degree, short-term classes are offered year-round. They are hands-on classes that provide "learn it today, use it tomorrow" training in today's most popular computer software applications.
Self-paced computer training. Customized computer training is offered in a self-paced format. Instructional support is available for these computer-based courses. Modules can be completed at home or at a KCC computer lab, and students have unlimited access to the CD library during enrollment. There are more than 400 training areas available. Customized computer training. Mainly offered to businesses with a group of employees to train, customized computer training programs are packaged to fit each organization's particular needs and timetable. Two location options are offered: at KCC and at the employer site. The most popular customized computer training is word processing. For example, training has been customized for business specific templates in Microsoft Word as well as electronic grade books within a school district.
College credit computer courses. Longer term, more comprehensive computer courses are offered through the College Credit Division at KCC. These courses, which usually meet for eight or 16 weeks, allow participants to acquire a more in-depth knowledge. College credit, which can be applied toward an associate degree or certificate of completion, is awarded for completion of these courses.
