College Preparatory Courses

For students who need to improve their academic skills to succeed in college studies, the Academic Skills Center offers many college preparatory classes.

Areas of study include biology, math, reading, study skills and writing. For current offerings, see our Academic Skills link above.

These college preparatory classes are helpful for high school graduates preparing to enter college, college students who need to brush up on skills and older students returning to college after being away from school for an extended period.

Grades earned for Academic Skills Center preparatory classes do not affect a student's grade point average. Students on academic suspension can take Academic Skills Center classes.

Financial aid can be applied to the cost of these courses.

For further information, phone the Academic Skills Center at (815) 802-8450 or contact Julia Waskoski at jwaskoski@kcc.edu.
