United Migrant Opportunity Services (UMOS)
Program Overview
UMOS offers the National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP), which provides career services, training, youth services, housing, and financial assistance to eligible migrant and seasonal farmworkers (MSFW) and their dependents. This program helps participants acquire the necessary skills to either stabilize their current employment or advance in their agricultural jobs. Additionally, individuals may obtain employment in locally high-demand industries with the goal of gaining higher wages and year-round employment. UMOS' National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP) is funded 100% by the US Department of Labor/Employment & Training Administration with Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds.
