Women's Giving Circle
Educate. Empower. Endeavor.
Helping KCC students overcome the barriers that stand between them and graduation.
Sometimes, a student is doing everything right—attending class, completing assignments and working toward a degree or certificate—but an unexpected financial challenge threatens to derail their progress.
The KCC Foundation Women's Giving Circle helps students in their second year overcome those barriers so they can stay in school, complete their education and move forward.
When a small barrier becomes a big obstacle
For a student living on a tight budget, an unexpected expense can make the difference between staying enrolled and having to stop out.
Women's Giving Circle grants can help with expenses such as:
- Transportation and car repairs
- Housing and utilities
- Childcare or eldercare
- Food and other basic needs
- Tuition and fees
- Books and educational supplies
- Required health-care program expenses, such as lab kits, exams, physicals, vaccines and background checks
The goal is simple: help students stay in the classroom and on track to graduation.
Support that goes beyond a financial grant
Students receiving assistance are referred by a KCC faculty member and connected with a faculty mentor who helps them stay focused on their educational goals.
This combination of financial assistance and personal support helps address the immediate challenge while keeping the student connected to the people and resources that can help them finish.
Your gift can help a student cross the finish line.
Women's Giving Circle donors come together to make a meaningful difference at a critical point in a student's KCC journey.
Your support can provide the help a student needs when an unexpected expense threatens to stand between them and their degree or certificate.
Together, we can help KCC students stay in school, complete their education and build a stronger future for themselves, their families and our community.
