Interested in learning new skills or exploring growing industries? This workshop introduces participants to CEJA-funded training opportunities, including programs in energy auditing, electric vehicle maintenance, and solar technology, along with information about workforce resources and career pathways.
Digital Skills for Everyday Work
Date: Wednesday, June 10, 2026
Time: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Location: Kankakee Workforce Services, 450 N. Bradley Blvd, Bradley (across from Wendy's Restaurant)
Build confidence using computers and technology in everyday life and the workplace. Participants will practice basic digital skills such as internet navigation, email communication, file management, and using common online tools often required in today’s workforce. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptop if they have one, though desktop computers will also be available for use during the workshop.
Resume Strategies for Today’s Job Market

Learn how community involvement and professional relationships can support career growth and new opportunities. Participants will hear from local organizations about volunteer opportunities while also learning how to build a professional online presence through LinkedIn and other networking tools.
Resume Software & Resume Review
Students and community members may obtain a free resume review by emailing their draft to careerservices@kcc.edu to receive courtesy feedback on how to improve their draft. Please note, we do not develop a resume for you, you must submit a draft with all your information to be reviewed. If you need assistance in developing your resume, you are welcome to use the resource room located at Kankakee Workforce Services and use the available software.
